I have a question about how to book the Colosseum Underground and Third Ring Tour. I see that you can book this tour through coopculture but it does not seem possible to book this tour on the Web site. Is that correct? Do you have to call? I am attempting to book for May 27, 2015. Have May dates not been released yet? Thanks!

I tried for some time to get tickets on May 15th or 16th, but always showed no availability. They either sold out really fast or 3rd party brokers buy them up. We have been on this tour before and definitely worth it! Taking our son this time and booked VIP Colosseum Underground Tour with Walks of Italy. We have used them before on 3 occasions and were very pleased. If you book, try RC10 for previous customer 10 percent discount.

We're trying to book the same tour for early May. I read on Tripadvisor that the tours are only released in two month blocks. According to the poster's, seemingly very knowledgable, advice the May tour dates will be released in mid-April.

Despite what the coopculture website is saying, you can only book the underground tour through the end of April right now. The website has a glitch in it and is saying bookings are open through June but those dates haven't been released yet. You should be able to book for May and June starting April 18th or so.
there is no reason to book an expensive VIP tour unless you wish to pay the extra money. No one is able to book tickets beyond April 30th so you just need to wait in order to book. The dates will become available in about 2 weeks. The tour companies are selling high priced tours because they know tourists will panic at not being able to book early.
