For some reason every time I go to the official website it won’t let me make any kind a reservation for me...is it possible that you can’t make a reservation this early or should I be calling them

Carolyn, what you're allowed to make reservations for today depends on what you're trying to reserve (tours or ordinary entrance tickets) and for what month. They release tickets on a schedule published on this page of the coopculture website:
https://www.coopculture.it/en/the-colosseum.cfm
The schedule is on the righthand side of the page, and you must click the [++] sign to reveal the ENTIRE tour or ordinary ticket-release schedule for 2020 according to month.

The first set of quarterly, ordinary-entrance tickets (no tour) for April, May and June went on sale yesterday (Tuesday) at 4:30 PM, Rome time. The 2nd set of quarterly tickets went on sale today at 4:30 PM, Rome time. I've no Idea what sort of tickets/reservations you're trying to purchase or for what month/day.

Pre-sale of Ordinary tickets with scheduled entrance time to the Colosseum, both online and through call center.
Tuesday 18 FEBRUARY 4:30 pm first set of tickets

I just want a regular ticket It’s like 16 euro and 2 euro for doing it online or like I said When I say book online and it comes with a broken link

Without knowing WHAT MONTH or DAY you're trying to book for, I've no idea what the issue is.
If your trip is anytime between now and July 1, go to this page:
Choose the month and day you want to visit the Colosseum. Pick from the available number of tickets still remaining (noted in the green boxes) for available time slots on that day/month. You'll want to choose the FULL TICKET (not FULL TICKET GROUP) for each adult, and which costs 18.00€, and you'll need to follow the prompts to get by the "I'm not a robot" Recaptcha security check.

I did it... thanks.... i got tickets for date i wanted... but the payment was in italian... even though it started out in english... we figured it out.... wow.... the last screen link you gave me worked...
