I am looking for a booklet or pamphlet that has the colosseum in it with pages of clear overlay that showed the ruins before and after.....so you get a better idea of what was there. Has anyone heard of this or where to obtain it???? Thanks
If you're headed to Rome you can get them anywhere here. They are at every bookstore, tourist outlet, etc. They come in various sizes and run from 8 Euro to 25 Euro. There are some specific to the Colosseum, but most also have overlays of the Forum, Pantehon, etc.
if you're looking in the States, I would open that up to the board, but Barnes & Noble, etc. could probably order you one - or try amazon.com - Hope that helps!
Ciao,

Thank you, I didn't know they were that easy to get.
Yes, they are everywhere - especially at stands outside the Colosseum! There are various bookstores all over town. Some of the best prices (surprisingly) are at the bookstore in the Termini Train Station.
If you go upstairs (very TOP Level) to the "English" section there are numerous books on Rome, Italy, and all of Europe - also novels, nonfiction, etc.
Good Luck!
Ron
Barbara I bought a small booklet for 10euros that is a computerized reconstruction of sites & monuments in Rome with clear overlays of each. A nice reminder of our trip.
