On a Monday morning I plan on getting up early and starting the day off with my husband seeing the roman forum thent he palatino. We will buy tickets there to the colosseum. I heard the line was shorter to buy them here. Can I also buy the underground tour for colosseum here too. How many times a day is that offered? Just wanted to know how easy it would be to book a tour time within the time we would be there that day. Thanks
the underground tour is sold out for all of March and April ticket haven't been released yet. These tickets are offered online and sell out within minutes.

vballrains, I don't really think it's necessary to do the underground but if your heart is set on it and you're willing to pay the cost, there are outside businesses that offer tours which include the underground, albeit for a higher price than the coopculture tours. As Donna said, those can sell out in minutes of becoming available for high season.
I know I am buying a skip the line ticket for the Vatican is that necessary for the colosseum in may do you think?
How flexible is your time ? We were in Rome last May, staying near the Colosseum, and the line for tickets was LOOONG in the afternoon -- but the line across the street for the Forum was maybe 10 minutes. So we got tickets, went right in, and when we went to the Colosseum the next morning the line to enter (for people who already have tickets. as we did) wasn't bad.
Do you know how many euros the price for ticket is to see roman forum colosseum and palatine. its 16 euros online and I didn't know if it was cheaper at ticket boot? also any recommendations about just going to colloseum on free sunday at first of month?

Online € 12 adult tickets, with € 2 reservation fee, are € 14, not €16. Tickets are good for general areas of the Colosseum + the Palatine and Forum whether purchased online or at the gates.
Tickets bought at the gates are € 12 (no € 2 reservation fee). My personal advice for free Sundays during high/shoulder seasons is to find anything BUT the Colosseum to do. It is the #1 tourist attraction in Rome and queues will be terrible.
We were there earlier this year. Definitely buy your ticket online beforehand.
Interestingly, the tickets for the underground tour were all sold out. When we were at the Colosseum, we asked about underground tour tickets. They actually had tickets for the underground tour that were not listed on the online site available. We missed out as it was about a 4 hour wait.
So it would not hurt to check once you are inside the Colloseum. It is a separate window from the ticket window.
