Colosseum/Forum with Roma Pass

I understand that the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum are counted as one entrance using the Roma Pass. My questions is whether you must visit all three in the same day in order for it to count as one entry or if they could be split into two days?

You have 2 consecutive days during the validity of the romapass to visit all three sites. You can only enter each site once but you have two days to see them all. Donna
