Morning.
Could folks comment on crowding in the Colosseum at various points during the day. Trying to avoid too many early entries lest my teenager erupt in protest...Tx.

It is universal to avoid going to big blockbuster tourists sites (and the Colosseum falls in that category) between 11-3pm especially if you find yourself traveling in the summer.

If you're there in hot weather, know that there is no shade at the Colosseum...get the earliest possible entry and bring water.

Jazz has it right. Between 11-3 the cruise ship day trippers besiege Rome. They are in a hurry and think nothing of pushing you out of the way so they can cram as many stops as possible before returning to their ships.
