Has anyone taken the night tour of the Colosseum? I'd checked Viator and Dark Rome websites. Viator being the more expensive tour which included a 4 course meal; and Dark Rome has a more reasonable tour...but reviews indicated only 1/2 hr inside the Colosseum.
We'd visited the Colosseum in 2011 during the day and would like to try the night tour.
Any guidance/suggestion is appreciated.
You can book the night tour with the official site and save a lot of money. The night tour is considered a special event so you won't be able to use the same ticket to visit the forum or palatine hill and you won't be able to use a romapass for entry if you have one.

Yeah, those other sites are private companies and they charge way too much, IMO. I'm sure you'll enjoy the official tour if you decide to go that route.

For those that have taken the night tour, I am interested in hearing reviews. Sounds impressive, but did you feel that you saw everything that a day tour would include?
You visit the entire structure with the guide except for the third tier. This is not open in the evenings because of safety reasons. The rest of the colosseum is open.
