Has anyone taken the Colosseum by night tour? Should I also take the daytime tour to the other parts of the colosseum to see it by day? The upper levels are not open at night.

I wouldn't do both as most of the site and information will be repeated. If you wish to visit the third tier you'll need to visit during the day. Visiting at night is really nice but you don't get to wander around on your own, you're with a guide. During the day you can roam around before or after the tour if you wish to stay longer (though you cannot visit the underground on your own). Donna
