Colosseum

Help please.

Where do you enter and exit the Colosseum? Is there more than one place to enter and exit? For example, can you enter from the west and exit on the other side on the east (or north or south depending what your next stop is in sightseeing and walking)?

And…with my combo ticket to enter the Forum, Palatine Hill and Colosseum can I exit and re-enter the same day between the three sites? For example, can I enter the Palatine Hill (say off Via di San Gregorio) walk down into the Forum and immediately exit by the Colosseum on the eastside of the Forum, tour the Colosseum and then re-enter the Forum west of the Colosseum on Via Sacra where I had exited originally so I can walk through the Forum and exit by the Capitoline Museums?

You enter the colosseum at the entrance which is just across the street from the colosseo metro stop. The exit will be to the right of that around the side of the structure.

You cannot re-enter a site once you leave it. The ticket is good for a single entry to each of the sites, the forum/palatine hill being considered a single site because of the internal walkway between them.

If you have pre-paid for your tickets (voucher) you no longer can pick up your tickets at the Colosseum, this is a recent change. You present your voucher for your tickets from 8:30 AM onwards at the ROMAN FORUM: At the counter marked "Cassa
Prenotati". The Roman Forum is located in via della Salaria Vecchia.
Or.
8:30 AM onwards at the new ticket office at the ARCH OF TITUS: At the dedicated counter marked "Cassa Prenotati". The new ticket office is based halfway between the Arch of Titus and the Arch of Constantine, about 3-4 minutes walk away from the Colosseum.

Keep in mind the Colosseum, Forum and Palatime Hill are counted as one entry and you can do them on separate days as long as it's within a 36 hour time frame.

The tickets are valid for two consecutive days. You only get one entry into each site so once you leave a site you cannot re-enter it.
