Colosseo Tickets

Hello! I'm getting an error on the official ticket site for Colosseo: https://ticketing.colosseo.it/. I followed an earlier thread on this topic that discussed some sites being down when it's outside of Rome business hours, but it's currently Monday at 4 pm in Italy so I would think the site would be up.

I'm connecting from my home computer which I've used to access this site countless times over the past month. Anyone encountered this issue before? I don't have VPN on or any other non-standard security on my home computer. Thanks!

I'm getting the same result from Washington DC. Ticketing websites are usually accessible 24/7, as opposed to the general-information websites that sometimes work (heaven knows why) only during business hours.

If you have access to a computer at work, I'd try from there. If not, I'd take your smartphone somewhere away from your home WiFi and try that. No guarantees, but worth a shot.

Perhaps someone who is able to reach the website can give you a contact email to try.

Hi, my husband and I just went through this. We are in California and finally after 3 nights of trying were able to get onto the site last night just before 1:00am — so just before 9:00am in Italy. The ticket options quickly sold out but we were able to score the basic 24 Hour Ticket for the 6:00pm slot. Every other option was already sold out.

We used a VPN that we tagged as being in Rome on his computer and I just used our regular home internet. It was about the same speed and access on both. The night before, I'd started looked for tickets at what would've been 6:00am in Rome and refreshed by screen so much as it got closer to 8:00am their time that the system kicked me out with a message implying that I was a bot.

The site seems to not open until about 8:50am Italy time. By open I'm saying that access to the date 30 days out doesn't appear on the ticketing site calendar until then. I can't exactly remember what time we purchased but it was between 8:50 and 9:00am Rome time.

Good luck!
