Hi there,
Tried to purchase Colloseum tickets on the official site and they sold out right away… any suggestions for a tour company?
Thanks!
Hi there,

We visited Rome recently and purchased from "The Roman Guy" also part of the company "The Tour Guy" a ticket directly for Special Access Colosseum Arena Floor Tour through the Gladiator's Gate. It was a great tour and I would recommend them. It was a longer tour, but it was a busy place, so having a tour guide with special access was the way to go.
One more tip, if you have time, was to go and take a look at The Colosseum in the evening. It was well lit up and way less crowded. We felt very safe.
I used a tour company that was recommended by my neighbor called Through Eternity Tours. They take care of everything - tickets, security clearance and you 'skip the line' and their guides are all SME such as history or art professors. I took two of their tours in September '24 - Vatican and Colosseum and I would def want to do their Vatican tour again!
Another is Walks of Italy

We had the same problem - couldn’t be up in the middle of the night when tickets went on sale. So we purchased an Audioguide Tour by C.I.S. Tours through Get Your Guide. We didn’t want the Audioguide and didn’t download it, so we really just got the entry tickets. But the C.I.S. rep was right where he was supposed to be when we got there and had the tickets printed out for us, then we went across to the Colosseum and entered on schedule with no issues. So we paid more but got the entrance we wanted. Good luck with your trip!
Thanks very much all. The audio guide is genius!!! I ended up with the Viator 3 hour with Gladiator’s gate… incl. Forum and Palatine Hill. Just glad to be able to show my son. Hope Viator will be ok… take care
Viator doesn’t operate any tours-they are a reseller
You can usually find the actual tour company by poking around all the info on the page
Thanks Christine
The tour is provided by ‘Show Me Italy’. Hoping it’s good as I have not heard of that group. Thanks
That's a new one to me as well
Here is their website- you might see if you can save a few dollars by booking directly.
