Colloseaum Coop Tour

The big tour of the combined English tour for the underground and panoramic are all sold out but single tickets. Would it be feasible for me and my husband to split up and each start with a different tour (they are only 25 minutes apart) and then we meet up at some point and join each other and hope our tour guide doesn't notice an extra person? Would that even work?

I would imagine that if whoever goes first just waits at the end of the official tour, the second person would eventually catch up there, but it sounds like you will need to do the tours separately if that's the one you want to do.
