Hello! I'm looking for recommendations of good cold pressed juice shops in Venice, Florence and Rome. I figure I'll be eating lots of pizza, pasta and gelato, and should try and get some greens in as well. Cold press, high pressure processed, etc. is what I'm looking for (no sugar, straight veggies/fruit). Thank you!
Just add some rucola (arugula) to your pizza. :-)
What you want, I think, is centrifughe or frullati. Here is an article from August in Roma Today that has some recommendations. My embassy friends used to go to U-Juice for salads a lot, too.
Thank you, Laurel!
Lindsay, salads (greens) are also not impossible to find. In Rome, for instance, try L'Insalata Ricca:
Thanks, Kathy! I'm one of those oddballs that prefers to drink my veggies. :)
Carduccio Firenze in Florence’s Oltrarno district offers cold-pressed juices. I intend to try Carduccio on my next visit to Florence. Walked past on the last trip, and it looked great. However, it was snowing that day and I needed HOT food, not cold-press. I went down the street to Vivanda based on dining recommendations from the Girl in Florence blog. Definitely check out that blog for more ideas!
Congrats on your upcoming trip to Italy!
