I was just reading my mother's journal from a trip to Rome she took in 1981. She talked of places to go where there was Italian music and singing. I'm sure there was wine involved as well.Do places like this still exist in Rome? Are they safe for a 55 year old women to go to alone?
Because I'm interested in any responses you may get, I want to suggest that you edit the title of your thread to...I don't know - 'Rome Clubs with Italian Music and Singing' or something. To me, it looks like you're looking for a discotheque...something I'm NOT looking for ;-) I don't suppose your mother mentioned any club names or general areas where they were located? I hope this bump gets you some responses!
"Safe" as in "you won't get hit on by Italian men"? If such a place exists in Italy, please let me know where :-) In all seriousness, try the Timeout Guide of Rome, although it may veer to the very young. You can also get info in local papers once you're on the ground.
Made a new post with the topic of Italian music and singing in florence or rome.Thanks.
