We are visiting Florence. We bought the Duomo combo ticket... does this allow us to climb the bell tower? Do we need to book specifically to do this? Do we need seperate ticket to do this? If so... where do we buy it??

Dear Eljohtheron if you have bought the COMBO ticket you should have received a confirmation with a barcode on each ticket.
It does give admission into the Baptistry+Belltower+Duomo museum + cupola (dome) which requires a precise TIME SLOT to enter.
(check official website for the direct reservation)
Regarding the belltower you can use your online ticket when you arrive in Florence at the official ticket office (CENTRO ARTE E CULTURA PIAZZA SAN GIOVANNI 7 IN FLORENCE). Take your printed voucher with bar code at this office and use the automatic machines in the courtyard to make the reservation to enter the belltower for a specific time slot. It is absolutely free of charge and will add priority to your regular combo ticket to climb the belltower at a specific selected time.

Unless, of course, you bought the lower-cost combination ticket which excludes the climbs (I did, on purpose -- Baptistry and Museum were enough for me, I don't do towers that don't have elevators)
