2 People. Colosseum (all of it). Forum. Capital. Palatine Hill. Whatever else is commonly referenced as Classical Rome. How many hours to do Classical Rome on my own and not rush my guts out? What are the total entrance fees to do Classical Rome? How many hours would it take to do Classical Rome with a hired guide who arranges everything for us and who do you recommend?

Time depends on your level of interest. For a guide, I've done this with Context Rome and been very happy.
We did it on our own and it took us about 3.5 hours to get through, though we didn't stop at every site on Palatine. We also did it later in the day, so crowds weren't too bad. The only tour we did was a night tour of the Colosseum, which enjoyed (but also went in during the day).
Thanks for input re Classical Rome. I have a half-day to see upper and lower Colosseum, Forum and Capital and whats typically in the guide books. Also stick in Palatine if it fits in a half-day. Whereas I don't want to spend the money, I may need to paying the fees and make arrangements to make "Classical Rome" fit in a half-day. If that's possible.

I recommend a guide. Hire one, tell them what you want to see and go for it. You will always remember it.
