Hello,
I went on Trenitalia and they show the times, not the prices-I suspect because they are regional trains that you cannot buy/reserve in advance.
Does anyone have an idea of how much they cost? Also, what station should I be getting off in Rome that would be closest to collesium?
From the port, how long does it take to walk to the train station and can you give me directions on where to go once i get off the ship?
Lots of questions, but i know all the italy experts on here will know!
Thanks
Lisa
Lisa: Go to the website cruisecritic.com and click onto "ports" on the orange band at the top of the screen, then look for your cruise area and then your ports of call. For Rome (Civitavecchia) and all your other ports you'll get info on how to enjoy each port, either on your own or with tours.
I can tell you that there is a shuttle (free) from the dock and then you have to walk about 4 blocks. Just follow the crowd. The train journey is about 70 minutes. You will end up at the Termini station. Be sure to have a map of Rome with you so you can find your way to the Colliseum.
so so helpful. thank you SO much.
