Civitavecchia cruise port to train station

How far away from the cruise port in Civitavecchia is the train station? Taking the train from the cruise to CT/Monterosso. Is it walkable?

They will send a port bus out to the ship to pick you up. Lines can be long so move as quickly as possible. They will take.you up to the front of the port where a city bus will pick you up for the just over 1 mile ride to the train.station. The cost is €1.00

Buy your ticket promptly. We moved slow.and.had to wait an hour for The next train into Rome Termini.

If it is a weekend, there are three to four trains an hour into Rome, mostly regional. The key is buy the Civit/Rome and return ticket somewhere else in Italy - at any other train station. That way you can by pass the ticket line in the station, validate your ticket, and get on the next Regional train to Rome. Make sure it is an R train since there are some Intercity that require a different type of ticket.

at any other train station

You are right, any other station including FCO's. On the other hand I think that on those ships they have free internet up to the moment they get off, don't they? I'd just install trenitalia's app and purchase a regional train ticket at the last second before taking the first bus.
