Not sure what you are asking. Where are you starting? In Rome? Termini generally refers to the main train station in Rome. You can always take a cab or a hired car. What exactly do you want to do? Since the trains puts you within a quarter mile of the port, why would you do anything else?

They go from the port to downtown Rome in addition to the airport. Extremely convenient. Assuming you're in the USA, book before you go. But don't forget your paperwork.

Furthermore, they will pick you up and drop you off at your boat or in Rome at your hotel. Door to door service. The train is a royal pain, especially if you're schlepping luggage.

At a certain level of budget, our travel agent says, the only way to Civitavecchia is by car-and-driver. This board has many lower-budget travelers, who use the train and are satisfied.

Just in case, are you afraid of Termini RR station for any reason? Or do you simply mean you don't want to lug your bags an unspecified and unpredictable looooong distance?

If you are looking for a way other than the train, and will already be in Rome (or the Rome airport), go to romecabs.com and check what they have to offer. It is a private car service that takes people from Rome to the cruise terminal in Civitavecchia. We've used them many time going between the airport and Rome itself and have always been pleased with the service and prices.
