Is the walk from Bagnoregio to Civita doable with a roller bag?
Yes, it is doable, but I seem to remember that there are also small golfcart size carts that were taking folks across. At the entry to the old village, there are some steps and it is a pretty steep incline at the very end. I didn't have a suitcase, but I enjoyed the walk across the bridge -
make sure to take time to stop and enjoy the view.
Thanks! I'll give it a go!
Jenny, It's about a mile from the Bus stop in Bagnoregio to the base of the bridge at Civita, so it will probably take you 30-45 minutes (at least). You'll then have to walk uphill across the bridge and then up a winding stairway to get to the entrance to the town. The small Shuttle is only about €1, so that would be my choice (especially with luggage). Are you staying there for a few days or just hauling your kit with you? There are a couple of new "posh" Hotels in Civita, but they're too pricey for my budget. Happy travels!
