civil wedding in italy

We will be traveling to Bergamo, Stresa and San Guillo that end of September. We would like to have a civil wedding in one of those towns. Anyone know of a wedding planner who can help with the paperwork? It will be just the 2 of us so no need for anything real fancy.

thanks

My mom "got married" in Venice. After much research she decided it was too difficult an expensive to have a legal wedding. They had a ceremony but got legally married back here in the States a week or two later.

The hurdles for a legal wedding in Italy are high and many. Our son and daughter-in-law finally threw in the towel, had a lovely ceremony, and were quietly married by the local JP when they return to the states. Simpler and cheaper.
