I am trying to figure out final changes while I still can. What would be the better route? rome to Venice to florence- then rome. Or rome-Venice-Florence-Rome. Most of my hotels in rome are booked and cant be changed. Still have the options for Florence andVenice.. Would it be better to go to venice from friday to Sun. the florence Sun to monday. Or friday to sat to Florence and Sat to Monday in Venice?

Two major destinations plus travel time in only 4 days? Wow. I salute your ambition. I think I'd go to Florence first, then Venice. But I'd fly back to Rome from Venice (on Easyjet) to avoid the 4-hour train ride. The flight is only about an hour. With such a tight schedule you want to minimize your travel time as much as you can.

the only part im am questioning is the florence-venice switch. dont mind the long way back to rome, I am in italy for three more days after that.

Remember Blue Monday in Europe. Most of Florence is closed on Monday so arrange it so you are in Venice on Monday where it is not as critical as Florence.
