CIS vs. CIRS Weekly Pass

Hello all! My friends and I will be staying 9 nights in Rome. Our apartment is located right near the Villa Bonelli stop on the FL1 line, so coming from FCO will be no problem with our €8 ticket. There are no metro or trams stops near this location (not even really in reasonable walking distance), although there are a couple buses that can take us either to Trastevere or Piazza Venezia.

My question is regarding which weekly pass to purchase after arriving at the apartment. I think I am correct in thinking that the CIS pass would not cover any trips on the FL1 line so we would have to strictly use the bus to take us to Trastevere or Venezia, where we would have to catch another bus or tram/bus combo to take us to a metro. And we all love those Roman bus schedules... For greater flexibility and consistency, we could rely on the FL1 line and ride that to Ostiense for the B line or Ponte Longo for the A line. However, that would require the CIRS pass, correct? Would we need just 1 zone since we are staying with Rome city limits and not using it to return to airport? It seemed odd that a CIRS weekly for 1 zone is only €13.50 and we can ride the FL lines but the more restrictive CIS weekly pass is €24. That's why I'm a little lost. Help, please. Thank you!
