Ciro and Sons, Florence - New Location?

I see on the Facebook page for Ciro and Sons that they are opening a new location as of May 26. Does anyone know if this is an additional location? Hopefully they have not left their original location. This is our favorite restaurant in Florence and we eat there multiple times each time we are in Florence. Part of the charm of this restaurant (in addition to their great food) is the family that runs it. I am concerned that with an additional location the staff will be split between 2 locations and therefore the dining experience will not be the same. I am hoping that someone has been there recently and can comment. We will be there in September and are already looking forward to our meals there!

Thanks

Note from my pal Enzo, one of the Ciro & Sons brothers:

"Ciao Jay! Our chef Salvatore was chosen to promote the opening of a new "Metro".....our food distributor! His photo was all over the city, so a lot of people thought that we were opening a new location! But we are happy to tell you that Ciro & Sons is the same as always 😊 we hope to see you back in Florence soon!"

Thank you Jay! That is really good news. When I saw the photo on the Facebook page I was worried. Now I can start anticipating my dinner in September.

Ciro's has Florentine steak offered at €3.90, minimum starting 1,2kg.......can someone explain this to me, please? That's a pretty big steak!

42 oz but that's including the bone, I would imagine. As far as the 3.90 Euro price, that's maybe per 100 grams, which would be .1 kilogram. If so, a 1.2 kg steak (42 oz) would be 46.80 Euro. Sounds about right, for more than one person. Bisteca alla Fiorentine is usually served family-style.

that is per "etto", or one tenth of a kilogram. So minimum price is 12 times that.

A comma in Europe (except the UK) replaces a decimal point, and a point replaces a comma to indicate large numbers.

So 1,2 in Italy is 1.2 in the US. 9.876.543,21 in Europe is the same as 9,876,543.21 in North America.
