Hi, I am going to cooking school in tuscany with my mom in April and we have decide to extend our stay. We can't decide between going to Cinque or the Amalfi Coast. Which one is better? Thoughts/suggestions??? Both places look beautiful!

Breanne, To begin with, you might want to delete your duplicate Thread on this topic, so you can keep all the replies in the same place. It would help to have some further information on your overall trip. How many days have you got for the "extended" portion of your trip? Which airport are you using to return home? As you'll be in Tuscany, the obvious choice would be the Cinque Terre as it's closer so will be an easier "fit" for transportation. It will also fit with your cooking school to some extent, as you'll be in the area where Pesto was invented. It's possible that you could arrange some lessons on making Pesto or other aspects of Ligurian cuisine. When considering the Amalfi Coast, it's a large area so you'd likely only be able to visit one place. Sorrento is always a good choice. If you decide on the Cinque Terre, it would probably be a good idea to pre-book accommodations. April is the start of the season, so it could be a bit busy at times. You might consider staying in Monterosso, as it's the largest of the five towns and therefore has the largest number of Hotels and the best sandy beach. Happy travels!

In April, the weather is likely to be better on the Amalfi Coast, fwiw.
