Cinque Terre Trail Map

Can anyone recommend a good (detailed) trail map? I'd like to have something in hand while on the trail if we decide to change directions. Paper map or a good version for my phone, either way. The PN5T apps map is quite difficult to manipulate on my iPhone.

Thank you valadelphia but I have already purchased 2 different ones from Amazon and they are not helpful.

The ticket kiosk may have something available, but then it may be the same mass market paper maps. The good news is I have always found Italian trails very well marked.

There’s a map of the trails here http://www.parconazionale5terre.it/Erete-sentieristica.php

And some good info on this former RS thread https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/italy/cinque-terre-hikes. There are several posts with additional links/helpful info.

And there’s also a lot of other helpful RS threads on the Cinque Terre that can be found by searching in the upper left corner of this page by clicking on the five horizontal bars.

Edited to add: after re reading the original post, I’m not sure this is what you were seeking Jack! However, I’ll leave the post in case it is helpful to others.

My Cinque Terre trail map is 1:50000 and I agree it is not all that helpful. You need a larger scale for more detail.

Did you instead buy this one from Amazon?

https://www.amazon.it/Cinque-Terre-Guide-trails-trails/dp/8863820805/ref=sr_1_3?__mk_it_IT=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&crid=3EN5E013FC2KD&keywords=Mappa+di+Cinque+Terre&qid=1645641200&sprefix=mappa+di+cinque+terre%2Caps%2C217&sr=8-3

This is the listing on Amazon.it. It appears to be the largest scale map they have for hiking trails (1:25000). Most of my Swiss “wanderkarte” maps are that scale, and they are fine.

If you don’t have it already, it would be a lot less e pensive to buy it on the Italian Amazon site than US Amazon, where it is $17.65 instead of €4.65. That is, if you are an Amazon Prime member, and can provide an Italian address for shipping—-maybe your hotel or apartment?

I just did this for a large-scale walking map of Bologna (1:12000). I asked our apartment owner for the street address and had it shipped there. It arrived 2 days later and he is holding it for our arrival.

If you (or anyone else) are interesting in buying from Amazon.it or other foreign side (Amazon.fr, Amazon.de, etc.), please let me know here (not by private message) as there are some caveats regarding shipping that I don’t want to go into unless requested.

If your phone is an option I would download the Mapy.cz app. It works offline, it will pinpoint your position, and it is free. I've been using it for hiking all over the world for 5 years and wouldn't use anything else.
Go here and type in Cinque Terre on the search option and see if it works for your needs, if it does then download the app to your phone, then download the Italy area you want and it will work offline.

Mike, thanks for posting the Mapy.cz tip, it also looks to be a good solution for Italian hikes in less covered areas than Cinque Terre.
One point about the search for a good paper map of the Cinque Terre - the maps look worse than they are because the CT is so small. Monterosso to Vernazza is only 1.7 miles, straight line.

Thanks to all. I have gotten the info that I needed. The mapy.cz app is great and I plan to check it out on a local hike soon. I was also able to order a very nice (and highly recommended) paper map from terradigitale.it
Happy travels to all!
