I have another train question and thought I would just let the experts tell me what to do. Which trains should we choose to get from CT (Vernazza) to Venice on September 19th? Thanks in advance!
It's our first time to Italy and our first big trip as empty nesters. We are doing Rome (5 nights), CT (2 nights), Venice (2 nights), and Florence (3 nights).

I would have started in Venice and ended in Rome and eliminated your Florence to Rome on the day of the flight.

Also would have saved a lot of backtracking.
Can you change or has the concrete set on your plans?
We booked our flight last year when United announced a direct flight from SFO to Rome. Didn't really think about the itinerary at that time, and just last week, decided to shave a couple days off Florence to add Venice. We really love the hotels we have booked in each place and wouldn't be able to switch those around at this point.
