How to get from Riomaggiore to Venice in July? Read a post that a train departs Vernazza @ 09:28 and arrives in Venice @ 14:20
(4 hours, 52 minnutes). That would be great. However, I can't find a schedule that verifies those times. Really need to get to Venice by early afternoon. Thanks.

How to Look Up Train Schedules Online gives you the DB train schedule link and tips for using it. Italian regional train schedules are not yet published past June 14, so you have to look at an earlier date to see full options, or wait until later in June. From Riomaggiore, departure time is 8:56 (on tomorrow's schedule) to get to Venice at 14:20.

As mentioned in the previous reply the schedules for July won't be posted on the websites yet, but you can get a good approximation by picking a date in the next week or so and using the same day-of-the-week that you'll be travelling. How early in the afternoon do you have to get to Venice? You may have to make an early departure from Riomaggiore.
To determine travel times and other details, I normally use the Trenitalia website. If an arrival time of 14:20 works for you, one of the easiest trains to use would be a departure from Riomaggiore at 08:56, arriving Venezia S. Luca at 14:20 (time 5H:24M, reservations compulsory on some legs). That route has two changes at Pisa Centrale and Firenze SMN, but the layovers are relatively short.
