Cinque Terre to Siena

Hi all,
We are traveling in April from Cinque Terre to Borgo Argenina's B&B north of Siena. We thought we could take a train late in the afternoon from Cinque Terre to Siena, spend the night, and then take a taxi or rent a car to drive to the B&B the next evening after exploring Siena. Is it easy to take a train from Cinque Terre to Siena? I keep seeing posts about multiple stops, and in looking at the Rick's Italy book it seems that there isn't a very direct route. Wondering what the best way to get there is - bus, rent a car, or train. Thanks!

Very easy train trip, but yes there are connections. Take the local Cinque Terra train to La Spezia. From there, there will be plenty of options to Siena, all via Pisa and most via another connection at Empoli. But trains on those routes run so often you should not have any problems. Check the Trenitalia or Deutsche Bahn websites for details.
