Does someone know about how much it would cost and how long it would take to get to Milan from Cinque Terre? I believe it should be under 3 hours, but wanted to see if anyone had done thise route.

From La Spezia, or possibly Monterosso, I remember the train trip being about 3 hours. Several years ago the entire trip La Spezia to Venice second class via Milan was less than $50. With inflation, rising prices, and the falling dollar, I would expect the trip CT to Milan to cost $50 or less.
