Cinque Terre Sciacchetrail Race

I just realized that I'll be going to the Cinque Terre on April 6th which is also the date of the Sciacchetrail Trail Race. Has anyone been to this area during that race? Any suggestions or tips or any idea how this will impact my trip?

Thanks!

The only suggestion that comes to mind, is to get a hotel booking soon! I don't know much about the details of that event.

Don't know if this helps much but I see that registration for the race is limited to 300 runners so at least there isn't expected to be thousands of them! Still, I'd expect it will draw some spectators, and it looks like there could be associated events. I'd definitely follow Ken's advice to book a hotel NOW if you haven't yet.

Possible associated events based on this from last year:

It starts in Monterosso (7:30 AM), and the final two legs are on the very popular SVA2 ("Blue Trail") between Corniglia>Vernazza>Monterosso. There's no mention of closing any of the paths to hikers for the race but if you plan to hike, you could email the park at info@parconazionale5terre.it.
