Cinque Terre - romantic places to stay

I'm traveling there with my husband and I want to stay in romantic place. I don't need a lot but I love the views and the quietness of having wine on a balcony. Any recommendations.

When are you going? We are staying at the Hotel Villa Steno for a few days in the beginning of september. The rooms have either balconies or a private patio.... I'll let you know how it is. I've seen great reviews. I was looking for something similar to what you are looking for.

Trisha,

I'm a bit out of touch with "romantic" at the moment, but you might check out La Torretta in Manarola (www.torrettas.com). It looks like a great location!

Happy travels!

We found that in Vernazza, the romance is everywhere! (Stayed last May.) It is more fun to sit in Piazza Marconi or on the wall at the water's edge and sip your wine near the locals, with the fragrance of Italian cooking and the sea (rather than separately or from above on a balcony). Heavenly sunsets. Quiet, alone time on the breakwater. Beautiful strolls from Manarola to Riomaggiore (and back) at sunset. Peaceful boat rides between towns. Very romantic dinner at La Torre behind the tower on the hill above Vernazza, and another one at La Lampara in Riomaggiore. We prefered rooms off the piazza for peaceful nights, as it can get noisy in the square. We loved both of these rooms: roommartina.it and caterinarooms.it. You will treasure your stay in Vernazza, as we do, I'm sure.
