I'm wondering if anyone has stayed in Vernazza or another Cinque Terre town in October. Just wondering if most restaurants will still be open that late in the season. Thanks.

Although it's been a number of years, I've been there in both September and October. Pretty much all of the restaurants are open. The weather is warm and comfortable there during that time of year. Not as crowded either! You'll have a wonderful trip!

I always stay in Monterosso, so don't have any information on restaurants in Vernazza. While it will probably be much quieter in mid-to-late October, there should still be some restaurants open. That's more likely to be the case in Monterosso, as it's a larger town and therefore has a greater number of restaurants and other tourist amenities.
The weather could be an issue at that time of year, but there's no way to know what it will be like this October. Hopefully there won't be a repeat of the events of 25 October 2011 won't be repeated.

We were there mid October, stayed in Monterosso and everything was open. When visiting the other towns we had no problem finding places open.
