We are visiting Italy on June 29th. We will spend 2 days in Florence and 2 days in Rome. We have 1 extra night. We are divided between Cinque terre and Lake Como. Which will be better around this time of the year?
Geographically, CT makes more sense between the two.
What makes the best sense is to add a 3rd day to Rome and skip the one night stop.
There is my $0.02
Thanks Joe! I will consider your suggestion.
Are those 2 nights in Florence and Rome, or 3 nights? You have to spend 3 nights in a place to have 2 full days. If you spend 1 night somewhere you will only have a partial day. I agree that adding the extra night to either Florence or Rome would be better. You can't underestimate how long it takes to change locations.
Skip Le Cinque Terre on this trip and add the day to either Roma or Florence. You will waste 1/2 day in traveling time that could be better spent in the larger cities.
Buon viaggio,
If you have 5 nights total (2/2/1) that is a big mistake.
Spend the night you think is extra in Rome and forget about seeing anything else.
Ignoring that aspect and just answering the question for me it would be Cinque Terre.
I will always choose a sea over a lake.
Thanks all for your suggestion. We have added few more days.
