Cinque Terre or Camogli?

I am planning still my trip to Italy in September. I am now strongly considering 3-4 days in CT, it's the last week of September and I am worried it will be really crowded. I have read about Camogli which sounds wonderful and also has hiking. I am going with my 25 year old and worried she will be bored in Camogli- however she does like to relax and loves nature and some hiking. she doesn't do particularly well in crowds either for long periods of time. Is 3-4 days in Camogli too much? Should we stay there a night or two and then one of the 5 towns in CT or day trip to CT from there?

Camogli would be too quiet for me for 3-4 days. I would instead stay in Santa Margherita Ligure. Then you could take the train over to Camogli for one day, ferry to Portofino one day, San Fruttuoso, etc. There is plenty of gorgeous hiking around the area too.

Santa Margarita is a good base.

1. walk to Portofino along the coast or over the hill, then walk to Lighthouse once in Portofino.
2. day trip to CT
3. Camogli and hike to Santa Frutuosso and take the ferry back to S.M.

OR base in Camogli and do the hike to Santa Frutuosso and ferry back to Camogli .
Camogli has a nice waterfront to walk along, have dinner, etc.
I really like Camogli but never stayed there.

We spent 4 nights in Camogli and liked it very much! If you like cities, Genoa is an easy day trip from there - just 40 minutes or so by train.
