June 2 is Festa della Repubblica and a national holiday in Italy. They're expecting the CT villages and most-trekked trails to be very busy, and are mandating only one-way hiking on the popular SVA "Blue Path" between Monterosso and Vernazza between the hours of 10:00 and 14:00.
So if you're there next weekend and plan to do this one, you must start your hike in Monterosso and not Vernazza if entering the trail on or between those hours. Details here:

They had mandated this one-way route for the Labor Day holiday around May 1, and I'd expect it to become a "thing" for all biggish, warmer-month holidays in the CT. Note as well the sentence stating that the folks in charge will be checking for "suitable clothing and footwear". Yep, leave the flipflops and styling little sandals at home. 😉
