my traveling companion and I plan to take a train from Pisa to Monterrossa , arriving at about 10:40 AM. We plan to walk/hike back towards Riomaggiore, stopping in one or more of the villages to nose around, have lunch and then again to have dinner, before grabbing a late train back. We don't expect to walk the entire way (and I understand some of the trails are closed, in any case?) , and will either take the train between some villages or , hopefully, the ferry.
Would love some advice about which bits to be sure to hike, which village or villages to spend more time in (would love to visit and explore al 5 thoroughly, but that's just not in the cards.) And a good choice or two for meals? Can anyone help?
