Hi all, Can anyone suggest a good place in the CT which has two quad rooms? I've e-mailed the places in RS Italy 2012 for Vernazza, and they are not opening until May. Looking in Monterosso I did not see any options for quads. To be clear, we have one family with 2 adults and 2 kids (8 and 11) and another family with 2 adults and 2 kids (9 and 12), so I guess we're not locked into the Quad option. Thanks!

How wedded are you to the CT? In March, it's hardly at its best, especially this year, given the recent floods.

Vernazza is definitely not going to be ready for March and CT might not be your best choice in March.
You might want to look at posts about apartment rentals in CT for a group your size.

David, To add to the some of the other comments, I very much doubt you have any chance of getting a room in Vernazza in March. They're still in the process of recovering from the floods and it's uncertain at this point how much of the infrastructure will be in place by that time. I suspect that May is perhaps a bit "optimisitic", but we'll see? Although rebuilding efforts are also underway in the old town section of Monterosso, staying there would be a much better plan. That's the largest of the five towns, so has the greatest choice of accommodations, both in the old town and new town sections. Tourist season usually starts about April 1st, but there should be some facilities open in March. You might send an E-mail to Hotel Villa Steno to check on availability at that time. They have quad-rooms listed on their website, but I have no idea whether this means two large beds or four twin beds. If they DO have availability, I'd suggest booking IMMEDIATELY! Although the Hotel is a short walk from the station and uphill, it's VERY comfortable and the owners are wonderful!!! If the walk is a problem, take a Taxi (that's what I do). Happy travels!

Thanks all, So, we'll be going to CT more than once, but we're stuck with the March timeframe as we've got friends coming over from the U.S. (We live in Perugia). I've e-mailed places in Vernazza, and most are closed until after Easter. Thanks for the suggestion of looking for apartments...I'm on it!!

David, One point regarding the suggestion in the previous reply..... Hotel Porto Roca is a beautiful Hotel, but is on the "high" end of the price scale. If you have a "generous" travel budget, you could certainly consider it and I'm sure you'd be VERY COMFORTABLE there. One other point to note is that Hotel Porto Roca won't be re-opening for the season until March 30th. You may find it helpful to have a look at This Website. You might also consider staying in Levanto, as it's very close to Monterosso, and you can easily get back and forth on the trains. Have a look at This Hotel to see if it might fit your needs. Cheers!
