Cinque Terre Lodging for Next Month

I understand i'm doing this later than I should, but I am looking for lodging in Cinque Terre for 2 nights near the end of May. I thought I had something through http://www.francamaria.com/ but they appear to have stood me up.
Ideally would like to stay in Vernazza and avoid Monterosso (prefer smaller city/town) and pay no more than $100 per night. Anyone have any favorites or recommendations that may still be available??

(For my wife and I, 29 yrs old, first time in Europe)

I would also recommend looking at AirBnb if there are any more available.

Casting a wide net is a better strategy than targeting just one or two options, and the online search engines help with that. If enquiring by email, send the same email to several places at once and see who answers.

Because you're so late in the game, I would definitely cast the net wide for anything at all in any of the five CT villages; Monterosso is not "big" by any means, and especially not as it's essentially split into two sections. And do make SURE to look at a map for where hotels/B&Bs/guesthouses are really located: a fair amount are not 'in' town and really require a car.

Booking.com is a great place to start.

I agree with Kathy's statement:

We stayed at Hotel Baia in Monterosso right on the waterfront: http://www.baiahotel.it/

You can easily spend the whole day visiting the other 4 villages since the trains travel very frequently & train tickets are very inexpensive.

Here are some websites you may want to explore:

Have a wonderful trip!

ct,

I also agree with Kathy. At this very late date, you'll probably have to take whatever you can find in any of the towns, especially given your price criteria. US$100 is only about €92 and that may limit your choices.

Although you don't want to stay in Monterosso, that would be be a good place to start looking as it's the largest of the five towns and therefore has the greatest number of accommodations. It also has the largest number of restaurants and other tourist amenities, and also the best beaches of the five towns.

The Italy 2015 guidebook has hotel listings for each of the five towns. You could also check the accommodations on these lists to see if you can find anything.....

Good luck!

I used arbaspaa.com the two times we went to CT...they have all different types of accoms and generally you can put in your budget (I think I sent a request with what I was looking for and budget, and they sent me what was avail).
