Cinque Terre Itinerary suggestions

Looking forward to two full days in Cinque Terre the first week of September. Staying in Levanto and hoping to get some good hikes in. Would be very grateful to have suggestions on hiking and boat trips. Also, Pesto class?

thank you in advance!

There are so many trails it is hard to give advice. Depends on your energy and fitness as well as what trails are open. Some good guidance here https://www.incinqueterre.com/en/trails-all which explains some of the trails beyond the "blue" trail of which several parts are closed.

We liked hiking up to the Santuario di Nostra Signora di Montenero above Riomaggiore, the trail from Manarola to Corniglia via Volastra ( you can take a little bus up to save some uphill walking), the hike up from Vernazza to Santuario Nostra Signora di Reggio (knee-pounding coming back down), and also the hike from Monterosso to Levanto (long and a big hill to climb) with a train back.

I just hiked again in May in the CT. I hiked from Levanto to Monterosso and from Manarola to Corniglia via Volastra. Both were nice hikes with great views and less crowded than the "lower trails" between Corniglia to Vernazza and Vernazza to Monterosso (which I've hiked before). The Volastra hike is very steep up and down (I didn't take the bus, but I found going up easier than down, actually), but the view from that hike are breathtaking - maybe the best of any trail I've hiked in the CT.

The is one main ferry that runs daily between Levanto, four of the five villages (not Corniglia), Porto Verne, and La Spezia. There may be other options from some towns, but that ferry is easy (just walk up and buy tickets from the kiosk). Ferries don't serve Levanto all day - morning and evening - but do serve four of the five villages about hourly I think. The ferries are crowded, but the views from the water are great.
