Cinque Terre in November

We will be doing a RS tour to Tuscany starting in late October and are considering adding a few days to our time in Italy to visit the towns of CT. We have read that November may not be the best month to do this as the ferries have stopped running, many hotels/restaurants will be closed for their winter season and the weather may be iffy. Has anyone visited CT in November? Could you share your experience and whether we should re-think the timing of our visit? Thanks in advance.

Depends on the weather. Hiking the CT trails in dry sunny November weather is glorious; if it's wet it's no fun or dangerous. If you just want to noodle around, there are many more interesting places than half-empty resort villages, in my opinion.

You could stay somewhere within reach and go if the weather is nice. In November, I'd be comfortable not booking everything and being flexible, but not everyone likes that level of uncertainty!
But these are not really towns with sites to see but small villages with lots of nice views and hiking trails.

Thanks RST Team. We have decided to alter our schedule and go to CT before (weather permitting) we start our tour with you. Regards,
