Cinque Terre in April

We are planning 2 days in the Cinque Terre in April probably the 9th and 10th which is a Saturday and Sunday. First is Sunday a bad day and also which of the towns would be better to stay? There will be 4 adults just having a good time. Any hotel recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Just left Vernazza a week ago and loved staying in the Maria Cappellini rooms. She is in Rick's book and also highly recommended on Trip Advisor. Her husband, Giacomo, will meet you and help carry your bags to your apartment. There are two: a studio which we rented and enjoyed, and a cozy apartment. Some stairs for the studio but if we can do it (57 & 66 years old) anyone can. We visited all 5 towns, but thought Vernazza the most pleasant with restaurants and a "scene" in the form of kind locals, beautiful waterfront, etc. Be sure to visit Il Pirata for both breakfast and dinner. Divine! And because the trains are great, you can hop over to another village to experience different restaurants at will. We took the train to Riomaggiore one late afternoon, toured the town, had an aperitivo at Bar al Piede for sunset, walked a deserted Rio dell' Amore to Manarola and ate there, then trained "home" to Vernazza.

We stayed in Manarola four nights this past May. We stayed in one of the apartments offered through www.acasa5terre.it. It was only 130E a night for a lovely apartment with two bedrooms, kitchen, and living room/dining area. We had a balcony that overlooked the sea - beautiful!

Everyone has their own taste when it comes to the CT. We visited each of the towns, but Manarola was our favorite and is where we would return. Vernazza is beautiful, but felt a bit touristy and too busy for us. Manarola has all the charm, good food, lovely waterfront, but a bit quieter, which is what we wanted. Monterosso is beautiful with the beach stretching out along the coast and is flatter for walking. It is busier with lots of shops along the sea front. Hope this helps!

Ditto to almost everything Laurel said. We stayed in Maria Cappellini's studio last month. Giacomo is a sweetheart and very helpful. They have two rooms, the studio and another room by the harbor. Both should be reserved far in advance. Loved Il Pirata too. Had breakfast and dinner there - two times for each! We also visited all the towns and preferred Vernazza. In the CT it doesn't matter what days of the week you are there.
