Cinque Terre Hotels or B&B recommendations?

SOS! Our rez got cancelled for Oct. 4-7 and we're frantically search for other hotels or B&Bs in Monterosso. Any reasonable ** to *** recommendations that are ideally located in the towns? Many thanks in advance!

Wayne, could you provide some further information? Which town and Hotel was cancelled? Do you have any preference for which of the five villages you want to stay? Also, do you prefer a "normal" Hotel or would a B&B suffice? What price range are you considering?

Hi Ken from Vernon! I work for the owner of Predator Ridge and Turtle Mtn! Hotel Margherita in Monterosso cancelled. It was recommended by the travel agent and the town looks very appealing so ideally we would like to stay in Monterosso but are flexible. We're looking for relaxation and just enjoying the scenery and culture (and food and wine), not necessarily lying on the beach. Don't know the oher 4 towns so we're open to suggestions. We're hoping to spend say $200 or $170Euros on a clean room with bathroom and a comfortable bed. Don't plan on spending a whole of time in the hotel unless it's pretty special. We'd like to be close to town and near the train stn rather than huff it back in the dark after hiking all day and full of pasta and vino. Hope that gives you some sense of what we're looking for. Thanks in advance for your help. PS It finally stopped raining in Vancouver!

Hi Wayne, in 2006 four of us stayed at the hotel Punta Mesco in Monterosso. It was clean and the people were nice. Good location about a block off the beach (very small town anyway). Good luck!

Lisa, unfortunately Punta Mesco is booked as are many others in Monterosso :( Looks like we'll need to look at the other towns like Vernazza which seems to be popular and have more hotels. Thanks anyways, Ciao!

Wayne, what a coincidence! I took a "spin" over Predator Ridge and Sparkling Hills in a small plane earlier this year. It sure looks great from the air! Unfortunately, I'm not a Golfer. One of these days, I'd like to have a look at the opulence in Sparkling Hills. ¶ It's odd that Hotels are all booked in Monterosso at this time of year? I don't know which ones you've contacted, so will suggest a few. If you don't mind staying in Manarola, you might try * www.torrettas.com * (it's a smaller town, but very nice). In Monterosso you might try * www.laspiaggiahotel.com * (new town) or * www.villasteno.com * or * www.hotelmarina5terrre.com * (old town). Vernazza has more Pensions rather than "conventional" Hotels. You might try * www.pensionsorriso.com *. ¶ Good luck - hope you find something!
