Hi there as part of our our honeymoon, we're going to be spending 4 days in Cinque Terre in the beginning of May. i'm looking for hotel recommendations. our requirements are: sea view, balcony or terrace, and around $200 usd. is this doable? do you have recommendations? My first choice of towns is VERNAZZA (and my first choice hotel was La Mala but they're booked :() My Second choice is RIOMAGGIORE thanks in advance!

Yes, it's doable, but my recommendation is in Manarola. You cannot go wrong with the town or the hotel. This would make an ideal honeymoon spot. Check tripadvisor...5 stars by reviewers. I loved it. Rooms start at 145€...about $190. http://www.torrettas.com/ENG/info.htm

carla, You might check the Italy Guidebook for Hotel recommendations in each of the towns. One point to make regarding Riomaggiore is that there are no "conventional" Hotels as it's a very small village. However, there are an assortment of small B&B's and Pensione facilities (some of which don't even provide breakfast, so you'd be on your own for meals). Are you considering a full-service facility with a restaurant or something more like an apartment? Although this wasn't on your list (and is probably above your budget), one location you might have a look at is This property in Manarola. I know someone else who stayed there during a honeymoon, and they highly recommended it! Congratulations and happy travels!

Hi thanks for the quick replies! we're definitely looking more at a b&b situation. we really want a great room with a view and a balcony. i'll definitely check out La Torretta! keep the recs coming :) Carla
