We are going to be in Cinque Terre in June. What I am reading says that some of the trails are closed to hikers but may be open by June. Does anyone know the status of the full trail? We are hoping to be able to hike the whole way.

SVA2 on this map is the coastal trail, this site shows 2 legs closed
At least 2 of the legs are going to be closed in June (just my guess but never seen anywhere state the 2 currently closed are opening in 2016)
Have seen it published they plan on opening 592-1 trail in April 2017
and that 592-2 would be even later than that
These have both been closed for years now
Not long ago 592-3 was closed but appears to be back open again, so that looks like good news that happened quite recently.
This link goes into good detail telling you how you can still do the whole hike if you have time and energy by using alternate trails for the 2 legs closed.

dr,
As the previous reply indicated, two of the four segments of the Sentiero Azzurro trails are currently closed and will likely still be closed in June. Those are the most popular trails that visitors want to hike. There's an extensive network of trails in that area, and it's possible to bypass the two closed segments by using other trails, however those tend to go higher in the hills so they're a more robust hike. The map linked in the first reply will give you an idea of the layout of the trails.
If you're not inclined for the more robust hikes, you can easily take the local trains to bypass the segments which are closed. The ride between each town is only a few minutes in each case.
A couple of points to note.....
- the status of the trails can change on short notice due to storm damage or whatever, so the two segments which are currently open could be affected. You'll need to check the status when you arrive there.
- it's necessary to pay a small charge for a Park Pass to hike the Sentiero Azzurro trails. You can easily obtain those at the small wooden huts at the start of each trail.
Thank you all for your input. How about the Via dell'Amore section? What I can find says it should be opened sometime in 2016.
There's no firm date re-opening of the Via dell'Amore, unfortunately. Best you can do is just keep an eye on the website.
This other local tourism site seems to indicate that it wouldn't be until 2017:
Rick recently posted on facebook that the Via dell' Amore will open summer 2016. I hope that he is correct as I will be there in Sept.
Diane, that would be great; not reading that anywhere else.
Last year they reopened a tiny stretch at the start in Manarola. Maybe at least a 2nd stretch will open this summer so some of it can be walked.
Seems any official updates would be here when available:

dr,
The latest information I've seen is that the full length of the Via dell' Amore won't be open until April 2017. Of course that can be revised at any time. There is a short section open from the Manarola end as far as the small Bar, but that's all so far.
