We are considering spending one night in Cinque Terre, taking the train from Milan arriving early evening, and on the next day wanting to head to Venice. Any recommendations to enjoy just one night here? Where to stay to maximize our stay and experience? Thank you!

My opinion is you need at least one day and night to enjoy CT. why not spend xtra day in Venice or nearby in Padua on your way to Venice. Otherwise you will be spending more time traveling by train than seeing these wonderful 5 beach villages.

Thank you both. Yes, after more research and taking into account the travel time, I think y'all are right. CT sounds beautiful, but we'll just spend more time in Venice or Florence :) THanks again!
