Cinque Terre ferry question

Hi, I will be in the Cinque Terre for 3 nights next week. Am based in vernazza and will be hiking the open paths between vernazza and corniglia , vernazza and monterosso on the 2 mornings. I wanted to know if a round trip by ferry is possible from vernazza, i.e seeing all 5 villages from the sea without alighting and getting down in Vernazza again. Just to photograph the villages from the sea..
Any other tips for photos in the region are welcome..
Thanks

I believe you can get a round trip ticket from any of the towns. I bought mine in Monterosso. I actually bought the one that took me to Portovenere, which is the last town on the route- just past the Cinque Terre. The town has such a WOW factor from the ferry with lonely Doria Castle sitting on the craggy cliff, followed by the lovely striped Church of St Peter! It was 28 Euro (in May 2015) for the round trip ticket (which included the 45 minute boat tour of the archipelago and three islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto (UNESCO site). A photographer's dream! I took hundreds of pictures of each of the towns and people sunbathing on the big rocks.

If you want to take a ferry both directions, buy a 1 day-ferry ticket for € 25,00 or an afternoon-only ticket for €20,00. The summer schedule is below.

What I'd do is get on the ferry in Monterosso, ride it all the way to Riomaggiore and then back the other way to Vernazza. Or buy the one-day € 33,00 ticket which includes Portovenere.
