We (20 in one family) will be taking an MSC cruise in July. On July 11, we will arrive in La Spezia at 7 am; departure at 6 pm. I have been told it might be easiest to see the Cinque Terre by taking a ferry. On the ferry website, it is suggested not to purchase tickets ahead of time. I cannot imagine how long the line might be to purchase tickets for a group when we arrive. I like the ferry idea because we will be able to see each of the towns. We will stop in Monterosso at 11:20 for a few hours to let all the grandkids swim/shop/eat. We would return to the cruise ship at about 4:30. Has anyone done this? If so or if not, I would appreciate your expertise.
Also, when we get off the cruise ship, how would we get to the La Spezia ferry terminal?
