In the past we've left our car in La Spezia and took the train up to the towns. This time I'd like to leave it at the train station in Sestri Levante. Is this possible? A good idea? Thanks.

You could also consider leaving it in Levanto. The trip from there to Monterosso is only about four minutes by train.

Hi Debbie! We are going to Siena in 2 weeks and want to drive to LaSpezia, park, and take the train to Riomaggiore for one night. Can you give me insight on where to park in LaSpezia, cost, do you need train tickets in advance? Any other input? Is it better to park elsewhere and take the train in?

Since you're coming from Siena, parking in La Spezia would work best for you. There is a big parking structure now at the train station and that would be a good place to park for a night. It's 25.00 a night. You don't need to get tickets ahead, just at the station.
