Has anyone stayed at Casa Cato in Vernazza or B&B Il Parco in Monterosso al Mare? if so, would love your thoughts, good and bad. Thanks.

Didn't stay at B&B Il Parco, but we stayed at the far end of the New Town, near the Giant. Look at a map and consider that the B&B appears to be way up the hill above the New Town. It's a decent walk from beach-level New Town to the Old Town, never mind going up and down the hill.

We stayed at Caso Cato twice. It's right on the trail from Vernazza to Corniglia and very easy to get to from the train station. The hosts were very helpful. If you stay there make sure to get a room on the second floor so that you have a view. We now stay at Villa Steno in Monterosso and absolutely love it. Vernazza has gotten very crowded and due to its size doesn't handle crowds as well as Monterosso. Villa Steno is in the old town of Monterosso, which we prefer to new town. We're returning this May to Villa Steno for the second time. Wherever you stay you will enjoy it!
